WBOM - Web-Based Operations and Management
The WBOM project is a cooperation with Tenovis (formerly Bosch Telecom). The use of internet technologies and middleware in the context of administration of PBXs (Private Branch eXchanges) are evaluated. The management of part of the configuration was implemented using Java and CORBA. It was demonstrated that these technologies are mature enough to solve a number of problems arising in this application domain.
In the second phase of the project, the use of spontaneous networking and dynamic services in a PBX environment was examined. We used the Jini connection technology to develop a solution to perform dynamic least cost routing.
